My Bio

I, Tony Risner, am seeking the office of Giles County Trustee in the August 7th General Election. I am 46 years old, and a lifelong resident of Giles County, growing up in the Liberty Hill Community. I am the son of Leon and Faye Risner, and I'm an active, long standing member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. I have one daughter, Kirsten, who is a freshman at Giles County High School. I graduated with honors from Richland High School in 1986 and completed a Business Management degree from Martin Methodist College in 1990. I was employed at Torrington/Fafnir from 1987 to 1994. I have been the owner and operator of Nu Wave Audio/Radio Shack for the past 23 years, with locations in Pulaski and Lewisburg.


I feel that my education in business, and my successful management and operation of a local business for over 20 years gives me the experience and qualifications necessary to successfully run the office of Trustee. If elected as trustee, I will continue to provide the highest level of professionalism and courtesy that Giles County residents are accustomed too. As a dedicated, hard working community leader, I will continue the tradition of bringing the Giles County Trustee's Office to the forefront of great customer service. One improvement that I will work to implement is an online payment service for the Trustee's office that would allow you to go online to pay your taxes. This online resource would be valuable for local business professionals that frequently have to search and obtain tax records from the Trustee's office.
